Ingredients:

For Methi mutter malai:

Ingredients:

1.2 cups chopped fenugreek leaves.
2.3/4 cup boiled green peas
3.Salt to taste
4.3 tbsp oil
5.1/2 tsp cumin seeds
6.1/2 cup finely chopped onions
7.1/2 cup fresh tomato pulp
8.1 1/4 cups milk
9.1/2 tsp sugar
10.2 tbsp fresh cream
11.2 tbsp masala powder

Smooth Paste:
1.1/4 cup roughly chopped onions
2.2 green chillies,roughly chopped
3.1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
4.3 garlic cloves
5.1 tbsp broken cashew nuts
6.2 tsp poppy seeds

Method:

1.Wash the fenugreek leaves,sprinkle 1/2 tsp of salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.Squeeze out the water and discard it.
2.Heat the oil in the pan,add the cumin seeds.
3.When the seeds crackle,add the fenugreek leaves and saute on a medium flame for 3 minutes.Remove the fenugreek leaves and keep aside.
4.Add the remaining 1tbsp of oil in the same pan,add the onions and saute on a medium flame for about 2 minutes.
5.Add the prepared paste ,water and saute on a medium flame for about 2 minutes.
6.Add the tomato pulp and masala powder.Mix well and cook on a medium flame for about 1 to 2 minutes.
7.Add the green peas,sauteed fenugreek,milk,sugar,salt and fresh cream.Cook on a medium flame for about 2 minutes.
8.Serve hot.

Ingredients:

1.1 cup toar dal washed and rinsed.
2.2 cloves garlic
3.1 finely chopped green chilli
4.1 tbsp ghee
5.1/2 tsp mustard seeds
6.1/2 tsp cumin seeds
7.Pinch of asafoetida
8.1/4 tsp turmeric powder
9.1/4 tsp red chilli powder
10.1/2 tsp jaggery
11.1/2 tsp tamarind
12.1/2 tsp masala powder
13.Salt to taste
14.1 cup of fresh methi leaves washed and drained.

Method:

1.Wash and drain the dal.
2.Add sufficient water and pressure cook the dal for 3 whistles.
3.Wait until the pressure gets released.
4.Heat the ghee,add the cumin seeds and let then splutter
5.Add the turmeric and red chilli powder
6.Add the green chillies,garlic and fenugreek leaves.
7.Add water and boil it until the leaves becomes soft.
8.Add the dal and asafoetida.
9.Mix well and add a cup of water
10.Add the jaggery,tamarind,garam masala,salt.
11.Serve hot.
