  • 800 grams Shark fish, baby shark fish required (Skin removed and cut into small pieces)
  • 1 cup Fresh coconut, grated
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 cloves Garlic
  • 20 grams Tamarind
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder, optional
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, small bunch, chopped
  • Cooking oil, as required
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ingredients for marination
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • Whole spices
  • 4 Whole Black Peppercorns
  • 4 cloves  (Laung)
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander (Dhania) Seeds
  • 6-7 Dry red chilies


  1. To prepare Moryechi Xacuti / Shark Curry recipe, wash shark pieces well with water, drain and marinate with the ingredients mentioned for marination. Keep aside for about 20 minutes.

  14. Once the gravy is all ready, add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and simmer on low heat for 5 more minutes and remove from heat.
